Well I have decided I wanted to try and making writing blog posts a more regular thing. It has been over a year since my last post and I am a little embarrassed to admit that. However, I feel like this is a creative outlet that I enjoy, but sometimes I struggle with consistency and content. Over the last year I have had so many opportunities to write about many things that I plan to tackle some of those in future posts. I will start from the beginning and work my way forward. These posts I am going to try and steer away from nursing topics some and move toward what I do in my daily life and other things I enjoy. Occasionally I will loop in some nursing, but I don’t want to violate any confidentiality.
Starting from the last post I will move into June/July of 2017. We went tent camping with some friends a little bit north of San Francisco close to Point Reyes. SO. MUCH. FUN. It’s interesting how connecting back to nature really helps center you, and how it helps you get back into a normal circadian rhythm (those of you night shifters out there, HAAYY) One of those big struggles working night shift is figuring out a sleeping schedule that works and then messing it up frequently.
Here is a bonus very flattering photo of my in our tent.
Anyway, we were able to spend a couple of glorious days hiking and spending time outdoors and an afternoon in Point Reyes enjoying the sites and the food. Those of you who know me know I am very motivated and driven by food so anything delicious and I am down. Ethan frequently jokes that I love food more than I love him, which we all know isn’t true, but the reaction that it provokes is a bit comical at times. Just the other week I was eating cheese and shrieked when Ethan tried to take it from me. Not my proudest moment, but hilarious none the less. I would really love to go back this year or some time soon, it was so peaceful and the sunshine felt so nice it would be good to just take a few days and relax.
Bonus, here is a cute picture of Ethan and Ozzie, that special relationship makes me laugh. They harass each other and I think its love. I love them both in their own ways, but this is just a cute photo from this time and I couldn’t resist.
Here we are on another gorgeous summer day in Golden Gate Park. We decided to go spend some time in the sun and hang out with a good friend. This was prime zone for people watching. We spent the better part of an hour watching someone try and fill one of those inflatable lounger things with little to no success. They refused help from their counterparts so we decided to sit back and enjoy the show. They were finally successful but only after many attempts. The sun was warm and there was a mild breeze and with a lovely picnic we spent the afternoon just relaxing.
That’s it for now, drop me a comment on thoughts or anything you would like to hear about.
