What are Sculptra and Radiesse, and how are they different from filler?

Collagen stimulators work by prompting your own tissue to produce collagen over time, rather than occupying space the way a traditional filler does. The result appears gradually across weeks and reads as a change in skin quality and structure rather than as added volume in one place.

The distinction people find useful: a traditional hyaluronic acid filler is a change you can see the same day, because the product itself is providing the volume. A collagen stimulator is a change your body makes, so it arrives slowly.

That has consequences worth knowing before you choose. Gradual is an advantage if you would rather no one identify a moment when your face changed. It is a disadvantage if you have an event in two weeks.

Whether either is appropriate depends on your face, your skin, your history and what you are trying to achieve — which is a consult, not a webpage.
